Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston is back in a lead role for a small screen drama, as seen in the new trailer for Showtime's limited series Your HonorYour Honor}. Well acclaimed for his Emmy-winning role as Walter White, Cranston will next be playing a judge whose life completely changes after his son makes a deadly mistake. The limited event series will consist of ten episodes and is scheduled to premiere in December 2020. You can take a look at the official trailer for Your Honor below.

Your Honor stars Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a "respected New Orleans judge whose teenaged son Adam (Hunter Doohan) is involved in a hit-and-run that leads to a high-stakes game of lies, deceit and impossible choices." Things go from bad to worse when it's revealed that the victim of the accident is the son of local mob boss Jimmy Baxter (Michael Stuhlbarg), and the judge feels compelled to bend the rules to keep Adam safe from harm. Also featured in the series are Sofa Black-D'Elia (The Mick), Carmen Ejogo (Self Made), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The Wire), and Hope Davis (Captain America: Civil War).

Peter Moffat (Criminal Justice) serves as the showrunner for Your Honor in addition to writing several episodes of the limited series. BAFTA-winning director Edward Berger will be helming the first three episodes. Moffat and Berger also executive produces alongside Liz Glotzer and Robert and Michelle King.

Cranston is a veteran actor with many memorable roles in movies and television shows, but he might best be remembered for Breaking Bad. Created by Vince Gilligan, the hit AMC drama starred Cranston as a chemistry teacher named Walter White who turns to producing methamphetamine in order to pay his medical bills when he's diagnosed with cancer. Aaron Paul co-starred as Jesse Pinkman, a former student of Mr. White who assists him with making and selling meth. The series earned Cranston a Best Actor award at the Emmys on four separate occasions, and he reprised the role of Walter White just last year in the Netflix movie El Camino.

After Breaking Bad ended in 2013, Cranston would make sporadic appearances on other television shows. This includes guest spots on shows like The Simpsons, playing Vince Lonigan in several episodes of Sneaky Pete, and voicing Titanium Rex in the animated series SuperMansion. He has also had roles in movies like Power Rangers and Godzilla. Still, Your Honor will mark the first live-action lead role for Cranston on television since bowing out as Walter White seven years ago.

According to the new trailer, Your Honor will debut on Showtime in December, but a premiere date has yet to be revealed by the network. Although the trailer is just two minutes in length, it does give us a harrowing look into the new drama series, and as expected, Cranston also appears to be at his best as always. Needless to say, any fan of the accomplished actor is going to want to check this one out. The trailer comes to us from Showtime on YouTube.
