The Paramount Network has released the trailer for Yellowstone season 3. Additionally, the network has revealed when fans will be able to watch the highly anticipated premiere episode. The series stars Kevin Costner as John Dutton, who seems like he's going to have some trouble in season 3 as he tries to protect the ranch from a "handsome, charming, shaggy-haired hedge fund manager with ambitious plans in Montana." Roarke Carter, played by Josh Holloway, wants to build an airport on the land and then develop a city surrounding it.

The Duttons are coming back to protect their home in Yellowstone season 3, which returns Father's Day, Sunday June 21st, 2020 at 9pm ET/PT, on Paramount Network. Kevin Costner's John Dutton takes over most of the season 3 trailer, stating "This is my home. I made a promise to protect it, care for it, love it, for me and my family, I can't break it." It looks like that might be a lot easier said than done in the preview for summer's No. 1 drama. To prepare for the new season, Paramount Network with air a season 1 marathon on Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th at 1PM ET/PT.

In addition to Academy Award winner Kevin Costner, the Goldstone cast includes Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbille, Brecken Merrill, Jefferson White, Forrie Smith, Denim Richards, and Gil Birmingham. Season three adds Josh Holloway to the cast, along with Eden Brolin, Hassie Harrison, and Jennifer Landon. Costner's John Dutton, is a 6th generation billionaire patriarch of the Dutton family, who controls the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, the largest contiguous ranch in the United States. He has had to protect this ranch numerous times over the years.

In the Yellowstone series, the Dutton Ranch is under constant attack by its own borders, which includes land developers, an Indian reservation, and United States of America's first National Park. It is an intense study of a violent world far from media scrutiny, where land grabs earn developers billions, and politicians are bought and sold by the world's largest oil and lumber corporations. Unsolved murders are not news, they are just a consequence of living in the new frontier during this tumultuous time. "It is the best and worst of the United States as seen through the eyes of a family that represents both."

Yellowstone was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson. Sheridan first got the idea for the series back in 2013 after he had grown tired of acting. After four years of work, Paramount Network announced in 2017 that they had officially picked up the show with Kevin Costner signing on not too long afterwards. The first season was a hit with critics and a second season was quickly announced, which brings us to the highly anticipated third season.
