Netflix has released the first trailer for Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, an all-new eight-part limited series, launching globally Friday, August 4 everywhere Netflix is available. At the end of the original Wet Hot American Summer movie, Bradley Cooper's character Ben proposes that all of the camp counselors reunite 10 years later, "to see what kind of people we blossomed into." True to their word, these counselors all return to Camp Firewood a decade later, and as you can see from the trailer, a lot has changed.

This Wet Hot American Summer sequel series is set in the year 1991, 10 years after both the original movie, and the 2015 Netflix series Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp. Netflix debuted this trailer earlier today, which opens with that aforementioned scene from the movie, before shifting to 1991, to see what these characters have been up to since then. Elizabeth Banks' Lindsay Handelman is now a successful news anchor, while Victor (Ken Marino) is still rocking a perm and Gail (Molly Shannon) introduces her daughter to Gene (Christopher Meloni), who bears a striking resemblance to her, while Beth (Janeane Garofalo) drops a bombshell, that she's selling the camp.

The trailer also teases that these counselors will try to save their old camp, with a scene where Andy (Paul Rudd) tells Katie (Marguerite Moreau) that it feels right, that they're both trying to save the camp, although Andy is clearly interested in doing much more with Katie. There is also a very bizarre scene where Kristen Wiig's character Courtney displays how to record her own voice over a tape recording, along with confirmation that H. Jon Benjamin returns to voice the iconic Can of Vegetables. There is also a scene with Logan (John Early) and Susie (Amy Poehler) swearing at each other, hinting there will be some R-rated language in the series, just like the original film and the prequel series before it.

From David Wain and Michael Showalter, the masterminds who brought to life the original 2001 cult classic film and the 2015 acclaimed prequel series by the same name, Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later is the hilarious new eight-part limited series starring the original cast, plus an all-star lineup of new cast members. Returning cast includes A.D. Miles, Amy Poehler, Beth Dover, Chris Meloni, Chris Pine, David Hyde Pierce, David Wain, Elizabeth Banks, Eric Nenninger, H. Jon Benjamin, Janeane Garofalo, Jason Schwartzman, Joe Lo Truglio, John Early, Josh Charles, Ken Marino, Kristen Wiig, Lake Bell, Marguerite Moreau, Marisa Ryan, Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, Molly Shannon, Nina Hellman, Paul Rudd, Rich Sommer, Sarah Burns and Zak Orth.

New cast members include Skyler Gisondo, Samm Levine, Mark Feuerstein, Marlo Thomas, Joey Bragg, Jai Courtney, Dax Shepard, Alyssa Milano and Adam Scott. Samm Levine was actually featured in both the Wet Hot American Summer movie and the First Day of Camp prequel series as Arty, the Camp Radio host who campers and counselors would hear first thing every morning, although he was never shown on camera. Series creator David Wain had teased that there was "plenty more story to tell" after First Day of Camp was released, and now fans finally get to see what happened to these beloved character, 10 years after their Camp Firewood experience.
