CBS announced yesterday that Craig Ferguson is stepping down as the host of The Late Late Show at the end of this year. The host broke the news to his audience at Monday's taping of the late-night program, and you can take a look at the video announcement below.

"At the end of this year, I will be stepping down as host of this show. I'll be stepping down at the end of this year, in December, then I'll go and do something else, probably, I'm thinking, carpentry. I haven't made my mind up yet. I don't know what I'm going to do, but I feel like doing this show for 10 years, that's enough."

It isn't clear who CBS will replace Craig Ferguson with, but we still have several months before the host steps away. We'll keep you posted about any news regarding The Late Late Show hosting vacancy as soon as we have more information.
