After a semi-intense episode of The Walking Dead, mainly focused on digging out if Eugene's loyalties lie with the Saviors or the Survivors, The Walking Dead has set itself for a massive episode next week, which will in turn be the season 8 midseason finale. The big guns, traps are set, and the Saviors continue to prove themselves as the toughest enemy Rick and company have ever faced.

In the sneak peak clip, Maggie and Jesus plan the final stages of the war against the Saviors when they come upon a fallen tree, which Maggie suspects could only have come from the Saviors. Not much else looks to have been revealed in the mid-season trailer, but we're hoping the last half of season 8 will setup some long-awaited justice for Glenn and Abraham, as well as the death of Negan. It's no mystery that the show has been suffering a ratings drop since the Negan storyline took hold. Most fans agree, the war must end, and the show desperately needs to get back to surviving the zombie apocalypse.

How will The Walking Dead keep our interest during the upcoming dead winter months? Time will tell. The mid-season finale of The Walking Dead airs next Sunday, December 10 at 9/8c on AMC. The Walking Dead season 8 cast includes Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Chandler Riggs, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Alanna Masterson and Jefferey Dean Morgan as Negan.
