Back in June, a report surfaced that claimed AMC's hit zombie series The Walking Dead is adding two new female characters into the mix. The first is Naomi, said to be a "grandmotherly type" who has lost so many loved ones, that now she'll do whatever it takes to prevent anyone around her from dying. The second character is named Jennie, described as a "sunny-side up teenager." It seems that Jennie has already been cast, with actress Sydney Park taking on the role, with new set photos showing her in action. There will be potential SPOILERS below, so read on at your risk.

These photos came from Spoiling Dead Fans Facebook, which reveal Sydney Park as Jennie, who is seen helping Alanna Masterson's Tara onto shore. It is believed that Tara actually washes up on shore alive, who is "revived" by Jennie and another unspecified female character. Here's a description of the scene being shot below.

"Two actors discover a human corpse half buried within a small tidal pool. Further down the beach another person is found washed ashore alive and is carried to a drier section of the beach. After being revived, the survivor slips away from the rescuers while they are distracted and is seen moving inland past the wrack line."

The scene took place at Jekyll Island, located off the coast of Georgia. The site also reveals that Tara and Jennie were seen together during the filming of Walking Dead Season 7 Episode 6, which has already filmed. There is speculation that this scene might be used for Episode 6, but that hasn't been confirmed. Jennie is reportedly part of a group of women and children who Tara encounters, but no details were given for the other character. It isn't known how or why Tara is washing up on a beach, a locale more associated with the spin-off series Fear the Walking Dead. Perhaps this is a flashback?

We don't know for sure quite yet if Jennie is affiliated with The Kingdom, or perhaps with Negan's Saviors, but hopefully we'll find out more details soon. The Walking Dead Season 7 is slated to debut Sunday, October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. Take a look at these set photos below, and stay tuned for more details on this highly-anticipated season.
