Yesterday, we showed you a new trailer for the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead titled Last Day on Earth, airing Sunday, April 3 at 9 PM ET on AMC. The trailer gave us our first look, so to speak, at Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), although we didn't actually get to see his face. As the countdown continues towards this epic 90-minute season finale, AMC has released a new poster that shows us the back of Negan's leather jacket, and his baseball bat wrapped in barbed wire, effectionatley named Lucille.

In The Walking Dead comics created by Robert Kirkman, Negan makes a rather auspicious debut in the 100th issue. After his Saviors take Rick and his group by surprise, Negan finally shows up, picking one of the Alexandrians at random to kill, deciding on Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun). We don't know for sure yet if Glenn will be killed off, but the cast and crew have been teasing that Negan's introduction isn't exactly the same as the comic books.

The show has strayed from the comics several times in the past, which could lead some to believe that Glenn may be safe, and Negan may kill another character. Shane (Jon Bernthal) dies in just the sixth issue of the comics, but the character wasn't killed in the show until the end of the second season. During The Governor's (David Morrissey) raid on the prison in the comics, it's Tyreese (Chad Coleman) who gets killed by this villain, but in the show, The Governor kills Herschel (Scott Wilson).

Most recently, the show altered an iconic comic book moment where Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) was killed by the Saviors. In the series, it was Alexandria doctor Denise Cloyd (Merritt Wever) who was killed by the Savior Dwight (Austin Amelio), by using the crossbow he stole from Daryl (Norman Reedus) earlier this season. This lead to Daryl leaving Alexandria to find Dwight and get revenge for Denise, but he was trapped by the Savior and shot in the shoulder at the end of last week's episode East.

There is also another indication that the show might not follow the comics. Earlier this month, the network released synopses for the last three episodes, with the season finale dubbed Something to Fear, the same name as the volume of Robert Kirkman's comics when Negan was introduced. Just recently, though, the title was changed to Last Day on Earth, so we'll have to wait and see if the show follows the comics or not. Take a look at this new poster teasing Negan's arrival, along with the trailer that debuted yesterday.
