Fans of HBO's Sunday night spring lineup will have to live without Game of Thrones for a few extra months, with the series slated to debut this summer instead. Still, the network is bringing back its hit comedy series Veep on Sunday, April 16 at 10:30 PM ET on HBO, to kick off its latest 10-episode run. Today we have the first trailer for Veep Season 6, which shows Julia Louis-Dreyfus' Selina Meyer starting "act two" of her life, after losing the presidency at the end of Season 5.

This new trailer which debuted on HBO YouTube, shows Selina Meyer comparing being an ex-President of the United States to being a man's nipple. She also talks about the "second act" of her life, which will apparently be comprised of travelling the globe and "spreading democracy like patient zero," along with another brief scene where Selina demands that, since she was the first female President of the United States, she won't work for less than 87 cents on the dollar. However, she adds that she will stand at a glass podium and wear a short skirt.

This season comes in the midst of America's real-life political system going through an interesting time of transition with Donald Trump being inaugurated as the 45th President of the United States exactly one month ago. This season also marks the first time in the show's history that Selina Meyer is not connected to the White House in some way, as either the Vice President of the United States or the President of the United States, as she starts a brand new chapter in her life. We'll have to wait and see how Selina adjusts to her new life out of the Oval Office ,

The hit series Veep stars Emmy winner Julia Louis-Dreyfus as former President Selina Meyer, who ascended from Vice President to become the President of the United States in Season 4, after her predecessor stepped down. The cast also includes Emmy winner Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Reid Scott, Matt Walsh, Timothy Simons, Sufe Bradshaw, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Sam Richardson and Hugh Laurie. This trailer gives us a glimpse at Tony Hale, who returns as Selina Meyer's assistant Gary Walsh, although we don't get to see any of the other cast members quite yet.

Veep was created by Armando Iannucci, who left the series as showrunner at the end of Season 4, with executive producer David Mandel taking over as showrunner. The show is also executive produced by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Frank Rich, Chris Godsick and Lew Morton.
