After three years of toiling away as the Vice President of the United States, Selina Meyer (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) has ascended to the Presidency in the first trailer for Veep, which returns with the Season 4 Premiere on Sunday, April 12 at 10:30 PM ET on HBO. When we last left off in Season 3, Selina was in the midst of running her own campaign for President, when the unseen POTUS stepped down to take care of his wife, causing Selina to step in and replace him. In addition to the trailer, we also have a poster for this upcoming season, which shows Selina taking her place on Mount Rushmore.

This new footage includes Selina presiding over storytime during the annual White House Easter Egg hunt, struggling with TelePromTer malfunctions and meeting with several military leaders. This trailer also gives us our first look at new cast member Hugh Laurie, although no details have been given regarding his character. Since Selina will now need to find a Vice President to take over her old job, it's possible that Hugh Laurie's character could be a candidate for this position, but that has yet to be confirmed.

The show also stars Emmy winner Tony Hale, Anna Chlumsky, Matt Walsh, Reid Scott, Timothy Simons, Sufe Bradshaw and Kevin Dunn. Armando Iannucci (In the Loop) created the series and executive produces along with Christopher Godsick and Frank Rich. Take a look at the first footage and poster from Veep Season 4 below, and stay tuned for more as we get closer to the season premiere.
