Netflix has released the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special trailer. The special is officially titled Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend and it looks pretty crazy. There's a lot going on in the trailer, which makes sense, since it's been a while since we've seen Kimmy and crew. One of the more interesting things is that she's preparing to marry Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, which the audience will have to help plan along with them. The episode is similar to Netflix's Black Mirror: Bandersnatch.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special takes place in the days before Kimmy's wedding to Daniel Radcliffe's Prince Frederick character. The story kicks off when she finds a book in her backpack that leads her to suspect that Reverend Richard Wayne Gary Wayne (Jon Hamm) has abducted more women who still aren't free. It's up to Kimmy to find them - but also to come back and get married, to live the normal life she worked so hard for. Viewers will be helping her plan her wedding, while hunting down the Reverend at the same time.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt interactive special was first announced by Netflix back in June 2019. The series is one of the first original comedy shows from the streaming platform and they're now touting it to be its first interactive comedy event. Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of the characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes. Netflix believes it's great fit for the show and the perfect way to end the series. While fans are sad to see Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt go, the final episode looks like a lot of fun with all of the different ways it can end. Viewers will get unlimited do-overs and will get new jokes and story outcomes in the process.

Tina Fey and Robert Carlock created Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt in 2014. The show premiered in 2015 and Netflix and quickly gained a cult audience, going on to gain 18 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, including four nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series. While it was one of the first original content comedy shows from Netflix, many critics have hailed it the first truly great comedy series of the streaming era. Season 4 wrapped up in January 2019, so fans have been waiting over a year to see how the show will come to an end.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend is set to premiere May 10th, exclusively on Netflix. The interactive special comes from executive producers Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Sam Means, Meredith Scardino, Jeff Richmond, David Miner. In addition to Ellie Kemper, Jon Hamm, Titus Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and Carol Kane, the interactive special stars Radcliffe, Sara Chase, Lauren Adams, Donna Maria, Amy Sedaris, Michael Carlsen, Fred Armisen, Chris Parnell, Jack McBrayer, and Johnny Knoxville.
