Ultra City Smiths is another one that came out swinging at Comic -Con this year. With the talents of Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard, Alia Shawkat and Tim Meadows joining the voice cast for this stop-motion animated series, AMC bet big on this unique show. The first trailer for Ultra City Smiths dropped during the virtual festivities at Comic-Con@Home. Now you can see the stop-motion animated comedy footage for yourself.

The show made its debut on AMC+ on July 22 and has a lot of heads spinning or at least eyes watching. Ultra City Smiths focused on an investigation into the mysterious disappearance of fictional metropolis Ultra City's most famous citizen. Two detectives follow the case as they are up against their city's dangerous corruption. So picture Law & Order meets Team America: World Police.

The first two episodes came made its debut on AMC+ on July 22, with episodes dropping weekly, every Thursday. The six-episode first season will air on AMC this fall.

Stoopid Buddy Stoodios' Seth Green, John Harvatine IV, Matthew Senreich, Eric Towner and Chris Waters serve as executive producers along with Jennifer Scher. Jeff Dieter and Thomas J. Glynn are producers. They also announced more actors joining the show to lend their voices. Also joining the cast are Terry O'Quinn as Captain Krieger, Debra Winger as Trish McSapphire, Luis Guzmán as Rodrigo Smalls, Julian Barratt as The Most Dangerous Man in the World, Sunita Mani as Detective Jaya Mukherjee, and Tom Waits as The Narrator.

The show is not for kids, not that you couldn't tell that from the trailer but just in case you were wondering that's a big no. Our story is set in Ultra City, which resembles a 1970s version of New York City or old school Gotham. The city has gangs that roam around causing trouble and occasionally break out into song. Matter of fact we have a lot of songs with this show. Each episode features one original song co-written by Conrad and Brad Jones.

The show does come from the creative minds behind Hulu and Marvel's new show M.O.D.O.K..So the feel of it is familiar and has some similar humor. This is a new concept for AMC+ but with the heavy competition for new viewers and subscribers, you have to be original. And that's exactly what this show is.

The newest trailer was shown at the Comic-Con and it introduced us to some of the main characters. Plus my personal favorite gang that is dressed up like David Bowie. We meet the detectives who are now deep into the case. As well as the ever growing list of voiced talents working on the show. Oh and what appears to be a dance routine or dance off. Which Detective David Mills seems to enjoy ( since he loves to dance.)

Check out the new trailer and let us know what you think. Robot Chicken also comes to mind so for any fans of that show this is for you. Don't forget to leave your comments too and follow us for all the latest movie and TV news.
