As President Trump prepares his first ever State of the Union Address, Mark Ruffalo, Alyssa Milano, Michael Moore, Wanda Sykes, Zoe Kravitz, Cynthia Nixon, and more are preparing for the People's State of the Union Address. Trump's State of the Union is set for Tuesday, January 30th while the People's Address is slated for the Monday beforehand. The event will unite activists, artists of all disciplines, and other leaders of resistance movements who have come together in an effort to defeat Trump's agenda in 2018 by educating voters to get the Democrats to takeover Congress.

Infinity War star Mark Ruffalo has been out promoting the People's State of the Union Address and admits that he laughs when people tell him to shut up. The actor is an outspoken activist and has been highly critical of President Donald Trump along with a slew of other celebrities. When asked about celebrities having outspoken political views, Ruffalo states that it's a part of our democracy. He explains.

"This is America, part of our democracy is to be able to exchange ideas openly and freely, and I always find it laughable when people tell me to shut up, you know, you're just an actor."

Mark Ruffalo, Alyssa Milano, and Michael Moore have been especially outspoken about their dislike of the current administration. They're typically called "libtards" and snowflakes by Donald Trump supporters and have even been threatened, but they keep pushing the envelope and the People's State of the Union Address is further proof of their commitment for social justice. Ruffalo had this to say about the event.

"In essence, it's a better reflection of our state of the union based on a more populist point of view, based on the people's point of view. I think it's important because we have a president who has a difficult time with the truth, who has a radical, divisive agenda, and spends an enormous amount of time focusing on the negative and hopelessness and despair."

Many in Hollywood dislike Donald Trump as President of the United States and they are not afraid to say it. But, Ruffalo, Alyssa Milano, and director Michael Moore have been a lot more outspoken. People came out in record numbers for the second annual Women's March, protesting Donald Trump a few weeks ago. Millions of people gathered in major cities across the United States and even in other countries to protest what some have called the most divisive president in modern times. While some people believe that celebrities should keep their mouths shut when it comes to politics, many will argue that it's a way to educate people who might not be privy to what is happening around the world from someone who has followers and a voice.

Infinity War is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018 and the Hulk is one of the biggest (no pun intended) comic book characters in history. Mark Ruffalo is using his power of influence for a cause that he and millions of others stand behind in effort to promote change and free thought. The People's State of the Union Address takes place on Monday, January 29th and you can read more about what Mark Ruffalo had to say about it through People Magazine.
