"It's so strange, isn't it? How just like that a complete stranger can become such a big part of your story. It's actually kind of terrifying... How a single cross with one person you've never met can change everything."

This isn't the first television appearance for most of the new This is Us cast members. Wechsler has a slew of small-screen work under his belt ranging from NBC's Chicago PD to the CW's Dynasty reboot. Omar Epps starred in Fox's popular series House and can most recently be seen on USA's Shooter. Golestani played a role on TNT's Animal Kingdom while Silva currently stars in USA's Queen of the South. Morrison is most known for her roles in both House and ABC's long-running fairytale series Once Upon a Time.

Timothy Omundson portrayed the beloved Carlton Lassiter in Psych. After Omundson suffered a stroke, he was only able to make a small appearance in the Psych TV movie, but is expected to reprise his role in Psych 2. This will only be Blackk's second television appearance but fellow When They See Us's star Blake has also landed a role in the final season of How to Get away with Murder.

This is Us tells the story of the Pearsons, a loving family plagued with a tragedy. The nonlinear story structure allows the creators, headed by Dan Fogelman (The Neighbors), to explore the many consequences of the character's choices and the lessons they learn throughout their complicated lives. The latest season altered the formula slightly to include flashes of the Pearson family in the future as well as the past and present. It's likely that some of our new cast members may be featured in this new part of the timeline, but no other details have been revealed.

The extended Pearson family is full of on-screen talent including: Milo Ventimiglia, Moore, Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, Justin Hartley, Chris Sullivan, Susan Kelechi Watson, Jon Huertas, Hannah Zeile, Niles Fitch, Logan Shroyer, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Parker Bates, Faithe Herman, Eris Baker, Ron Cephas Jones and Lyric Ross. Season 3's newcomers Griffin Dunne, Tim Jo, Elizabeth Perkins, Phylicia Rashad and Caitlin Thompson are set to return in Season 4, as well.

The extended premiere episode will air on September 24 at 9pm. Until then, you can check out the trailer from NCB's Official Youtube Channel.
