AMC released a new preview for the return of The Walking Dead Season 4, premiering Sunday, February 9 at 9 PM ET. When we last left these survivors in The Walking Dead mid-season finale, they all went their separate ways following the massive assault on their prison, which they called home for a season and a half. Andrew Lincoln explains how terrifying it is to be back on the road again, and that the last half of this season will provide a different kind of horror than fans are used to. We see new footage that shows how physically and emotionally battered Rick really is, and hear from Danai Gurira, who describes her own turmoil after watching Herschel (Scott Wilson) die in the mid-season finale. We also hear from Lauren Cohan, Steven Yeun, Norman Reedus, executive producers Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Denise M. Huth, Scott M. Gimple and Greg Nicotero, who offer fans a lot to think about before the series returns next month.

Following the devastating events of the mid-season finale, Rick and the group are still reeling from the loss of their home, family, and friends. With the destruction of the prison, we see the group of survivors broken apart and sent on divergent paths, unsure of everyone else's fate. What was a challenging life behind fences and walls grows that much more perilous and precious as they are exposed to new dangers, new enemies, and heartbreaking choices. They will have their faith thoroughly tested -- a faith that breaks some of them and redeems others.
