Former The Walking Dead show runner and director Frank Darabont has hired two of that show's former stars to appear in the pilot episode of TNT's new period crime drama L.A. Noir.

Both Jeffrey DeMunn, who survived as beloved Dale only through the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead Season 2, and Andrew Rothenberg, whose Jim met his demise in The Walking Dead Season 1, will join former co-star Jon Bernthal, who leads this look at the conflict between the LAPD of the late 40s as his Cop Joe Teague squares off against gangster Mickey Cohen.

No further character information was revealed for Jeffrey DeMunn nor Andrew Rothenberg, and it isn't clear how involved with the series they will be beyond the pilot. Neither has been confirmed as a series regular at this point.
