While it's likely to be some time before audiences catch up with the Hargreeves family again in the upcoming third season of The Umbrella Academy, Netflix has offered us one of our biggest clues yet of what to expect, with the streamer releasing the titles for all 10 episodes of the new season. The reveal comes along with the caption "everybody say "thank you @steveblackmantv" for blessing us with the S3 episode titles during @netflixgeeked week."

The episode titles in order are as follows; "Meet the Family," "World's Biggest Ball of Twine," "Pocket Full of Lightning," "Kugelblitz," "Kindest Cut," "Marigold," "Auf Wiedersehen," "Wedding at the End of the World," "Six Bells," and "Oblivion." While the titles themselves don't tell us too much about the direction of the third series, there are certainly some that jump out.

The first episode, "Meet the Family", will no doubt introduce both audiences and The Umbrella Academy to the mysterious Sparrow Academy, introduced through silhouette at the climax of season 2. Others, such as "Pocket Full of Lightning" and "Wedding at the End of the World" certainly ask more questions than they answer, with the finale, "Oblivion", suggesting that the superpowered family will once again find themselves at the center of an oncoming apocalypse.

Based on Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's Dark Horse comic book series of the same name, The Umbrella Academy begins in 1989, with a highly unusual occurrence wherein forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven of these mysterious babies are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his "children" to save the world. Unfortunately, not everything goes according to Hargreeves' plan, and the family fractures leading to the disbanding of The Umbrella Academy, before they are brought back together and forced to unite once again to stop the imminent apocalypse.

While there are currently no official plot details for The Umbrella Academy season 3, the final moments of the second season found the Hargreeves siblings leaving their lives in the 1960s and thrown into an alternate timeline, coming face-to-face with a group of shadowy figures known as The Sparrow Academy. While their identities had remained a mystery come the series end, several details have since been revealed giving audiences a better idea of what to expect when season 3 begins, with the Sparrow's being made up of Justin Cornwell, Britne Oldford, Genesis Rodriguez, Cazzie David, and Jake Epstein. Oh, and the Existential Dread Inducing Psykronium Cube known as Christopher, of course.

The ensemble cast of the third season will once again be made up of Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher as the titular family. Filming is currently underway on season 3, with the streaming giant no doubt hoping for another smash hit. Both previous seasons of The Umbrella Academy were a huge hit for Netflix, with both seasons receiving rave reviews and high viewing numbers. Netflix has yet to announce a premiere date for The Umbrella Academy season 3.
