The jury is still out on whether or not The Office reunion will ever happen. If it does though, John Krasinski wants in. Despite the show going off the air nearly seven years ago, the sitcom has remained wildly popular and highly in-demand on streaming services. With that, it would make sense for the show to return in some way. Krasinski, who played Jim on the show, would love to return, given the opportunity.

John Krasinski is currently promoting his new movie, A Quiet Place: Part II, which hits theaters next month. During a recent interview, he was asked about the possibility of The Office coming back and whether or not he would return. Krasinksi had nothing but nice things to say about his time on the show and wasn't shy about expressing his willingness to sign up. Here's what he had to say about it.

"The Office was absolutely everything to me. I mean it is my beginning and my end. I'm pretty sure at the end of my career I'll still be known for Jim. That was my first experience with Hollywood. It was the first creative family I've ever had. In many ways, they will always be the most important people in that most important experience in my career. So yeah, if they did a reunion, I would absolutely love to do it."

NBC played home to The Office while it was on the air, but it found a major second life on Netflix. The show will be leaving Netflix for Peacock, the upcoming NBC-branded streaming service that is set to launch later this year. What's more, the network has already said that bringing back The Office is a top priority and they are having conversations, but nothing has been firmed up as of yet.

There are a few potential, logistical issues in attempting something like this. For one, The Office ended in a very satisfying way, as the series finale provided true closure. Messing with that could be akin to playing with fire. Not to mention that many of the characters were heading off in new directions, far removed the Dunder Mifflin. It might be difficult to find a reason to bring everyone back together. John Krasinski previously suggested they reunite for a Christmas special.

That also might be easier as a one-off, given that many members of the cast have become quite busy in the years since. But both Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer are co-hosting a podcast called Office Ladies where they recap every episode of the show. Plus, everyone from the show has remained close friends over the years. If the opportunity truly arises for The Office to come back, it's hard to imagine they wouldn't find a way to make it work. For now, at least, it's simply something hypothetical that fans would love to see. This news comes to us via Esquire.
