The Mandalorian star Temuera Morrison says that Boba Fett has "been through a lot." Morrison previously played Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and Star Wars fans were very excited to learn that the actor was playing Boba Fett in the successful Disney+ series. However, it wasn't made abundantly clear that Morrison was playing Boba Fett in the first episode of season 2. Fans had to wait until episode 6, Chapter 14, to learn that Boba Fett did indeed survive the Sarlacc pit from Return of the Jedi.

Now, Temuera Morrison is able to break his silence on returning to the Star Wars franchise. As one could imagine, the times since Return of the Jedi have not been easy for the iconic bounty hunter. Whatever the case may be, we're about to learn why things were so hard, along with some further backstory. Morrison had this to say when asked about giving fans more information about the character in the future.

"Yes. When we find Boba, he's well-worn, and he's been through a lot. He's a survivor, and he's weathered. Now it was time to find out more about what makes Boba tick. Is he more than just a simple man, trying to make his way through the galaxy? Is he tired of all the fighting? Is he tired of all the killing?"

As for being tired of fighting, Boba Fett did not appear to be tired of it at all in the latest episode of The Mandalorian. In fact, it was quite the opposite as Star Wars fans were able to see a side of the character that was never shown on the big screen. With that being said, Temuera Morrison knows that anything can change, thanks to his own life experience. "The one thing I can relate to is, I'm quite a mature man now and things always change," he says, "Sometimes you're in Hollywood, in all the magazines and newspapers. And sometimes you end up in the fish and chip shop in New Zealand, where all the old magazines and papers go. You're old news."

Now, Star Wars fans want to know everything about Boba Fett now that it is clear he survived his rather lame ending from Return of the Jedi. "There's quite a bit of loose ends, and I'm not one of those guys that knows too much about the actual history," says Temuera Morrison. "The fans of Star Wars, they have better knowledge of, What's happened? How can he still be alive? I thought he was stuck in this place? I can find out more on the internet." It appears that Temuera Morrison is in the dark just like the rest of us when it comes to the secrets of Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian season 2 is seemingly just the beginning of seeing more of the fan-favorite bounty hunter on the screen. There have been rumors of a Boba Fett spin-off series and it looks like he is already pretty chummy with Din Djarin, so hopefully we'll learn some more information about Lucasfilm's plans in the near future. The interview with Temuera Morrison was originally conducted by The New York Times.
