Carl Weathers teases that we will get some of Greef Carga's backstory in The Mandalorian season 2. Weathers plays the leader of the Bounty Hunter's Guild on the hit Disney+ series. Star Wars fans watched him begin as an ally of Mando and then become an enemy in the short span of just three episodes. Weathers' Carga character hasn't been seen since the epic conclusion of episode 3, but we will more than likely see him again before season 1 wraps and it sounds like he's officially returning for the already-highly anticipated second season.

The Mandalorian only airs once a week on Disney+, which is far different from what Netflix does with their shows. They dump them all in one day and fans can binge watch over the weekend. Star Wars fans have to wait a week, so we're not sure if Carl Weathers shows up again this season or not. But, the actor gives an indication of what season 2 will have in store for Greef Carga. He explains.

"I think (Greef's backstory) is more saved for season two. But you get some glimpses at Greef and who he is through the stories in the first season. There's some real strong indications that give you some idea of who he is. But we never let on completely."

As for playing the character on The Mandalorian, Carl Weathers enjoys it because of the dual nature of Greef Carga. "It's much more interesting to play someone who is not all of one thing - not one-dimensional," says Weathers. The actor went on to say that this story arc "opens it up to stories later on that can reveal much more about this character. Certainly with Greef, you have to really keep your eye on him." Mando definitely needs to keep an eye out for Greef and the Bounty Hunters Guild as they hunt him and The Child.

The Mandalorian has been gaining rave reviews from Star Wars fans who are eager to learn what the deal is with Baby Yoda, aka The Child. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni were able to keep a pretty big secret for a long time that shocked fans and immediately started up speculation as to how the 50-year old baby fits into the rest of the franchise. It will be interesting to see if and how Greef Carga fits into this narrative too.

Season 1 of The Mandalorian has been incredibly fast-paced and covers a decent amount of ground in 30 to 40-minute episodes. We're still learning about Pedro Pascal's main character of the show, who seems to have lightened up a bit in episode 4. With that being said, there's still a lot of mystery surrounding the show, which is already shooting season 2. Hopefully Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni can keep up the quality for the next season.
