Shudder has just released the official art for their The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs series. Briggs is back after a 2018 horror marathon that broke the internet and horror fans are taking notice. The icon is ready to grace us with his presence every week in his new series, which debuts at the end of this month. To celebrate, Shudder has released the key art by illustrator Justin Osbourn and it's perfect.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs is a nine-episode original series, which will consist of weekly double features. The new series marks the first time that Joe Bob Briggs has been on a weekly series since TNT's MonsterVision ended in 2000. Each episode is set to air on Friday nights, beginning March 29th and going through May 24th, exclusively on Shudder. When recently talking about the series, Joe Bob Briggs said that it will include, "classics to obscurities to foreign cult offerings," from the last 50 years.

In addition to the new Shudder series, Joe Bob Briggs is currently touring with his An Evening with Joe Bob Briggs: How Rednecks Saved Hollywood one-man stage show. His first stop of the tour is at SXSW out in Austin, Texas tonight, March 11th. The show will include The identity of the first redneck in history, the precise date the first redneck arrived in America, the most sacred redneck cinematic moments, how Thunder Road, the Whiskey Rebellion, the tight cutoffs worn by Claudia Jennings in Gator Bait, illegal Coors beer, and the Cannonball Baker Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy Dash combined to inspire the greatest movie in the history of the world. Additionally, the show will tackle why the redneck is the scariest monster in all of film history, with visual evidence, the existential difference between Forrest Gump and Sling Blade, and the reason God loves rednecks.

Joe Bob Briggs is about to be a very busy man. After the premiere of the one-man show at SXSW tonight, the tour will officially kick off on March 16th, with The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs coming up at the end of the month. Now that Briggs is back, it looks like he intends on sticking around for a while, which is probably just fine with his many fans from all over the world.

The Last Drive-In with Joe Bob Briggs will be live events that will stream on Shudder at 9 PM Eastern and 6 PM Pacific, which will later air on demand for those who can't check the new series out live. While horror fans are excited to see Briggs back, their also happy to see what dusty gems he's going to pull out while giving his commentary on them.
