Last month, we reported that AMC is bringing The Killing back from the dead, four months after they cancelled the series. Today, we have word that cast members Bill Campbell, Brent Sexton, and Michelle Forbes will not be back for Season 3.

Bill Campbell played Seattle mayoral candidate Darren Richmond, who was once thought to be a prime suspect in the murder of local teenager Rosie Larsen. Brent Sexton and Michelle Forbes played Rosie's grieving parents. Stars Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman are expected to return as detectives Sarah Linden and Stephen Holder.

Series creator Veena Cabreros Sud is currently working out new story lines with executive producers Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin. Our report from last month revealed that Netflix will share production costs for the season, while getting rights to stream the show after its initial run on AMC. Those talks between AMC, Fox Television Studios, which produces the show, and Netflix are still ongoing.
