The Harper House, the upcoming adult animated comedy series in the works at CBS All Access, has set its voice cast. Leading the series are Better Call Saul star Rhea Seehorn and My Name Is Earl star Jason Lee, with the two playing married couple Debbie and Freddie Harper. Debbie (Seehorn), the breadwinner of the home, takes pride in being the "queen of the household." Her husband Freddie (Lee) is conversely a "fretful, stat-at-home, helicopter dad" and a "neurotic control freak."

Along with Rhea Seehorn and Jason Lee as the mother and father of the family, the cast also includes Tatiana Maslany (Marvel's She-Hulk) as Ollie Harper, the extroverted, free-spirited daughter. She is described as "recklessly optimistic and pretty gullible." Her little brother Todd Harper, the "smart-ass, intellectual son with a mean potty mouth," will be voiced by Ryan Flynn (Stupidface). Todd is also described as someone who "excels at school and generally only gets along with his family."

For five seasons of Better Call Saul, Seehorn has long been one of the Breaking Bad spinoff's most popular characters. That's an especially difficult feat, as she was not an established character from the parent series like many of the other main cast members. Why she still hasn't yet been nominated for her role on the show as Kim Wexler remains a mystery. Jason Lee is also famous for his many roles in TV and movies, but he is especially beloved for playing Earl Hickey on the popular sitcom My Name Is Earl. In recent years, he has been voicing a lead role on the Cartoon Network series We Bare Bears.

Other cast members include Gary Anthony Williams (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows), Nyima Funk (Key and Peele), and Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) as the Bradleys, neighbors of the Harpers. Daughter Shauna is a cunning and resourceful classmate of the Harper children whose "confidence and savvy can even be intimidating to the adults in her life." Meanwhile, her father is someone who needs to warm up to the Harpers and "Freddie's increasingly desperate attempts to be his friend."

Also featured on the series in other roles are VyVy Nguyen (Young Sheldon) and Lance Krall (The Joe Schmo Show) as a Vietnamese market owner and her son; Chris Diamantopoulos (Silicon Valley) as the school principal; Joanna Hausmann (Bill Nye Saves the World) as a new teacher; Roberta Colindrez (Vida) as Tonya, a friend of Debbie's; and Tessa Skara (The Calling) and John "Spud" McConnell (Hap and Leonard) as Debbie's sister and father.

The project comes from Brad Neely (China, IL), Katie Krentz (Star Trek: Lower Decks), CBS Television Studios, and 219 Productions. Titmouse will serve as the animation studio for the show. It's not yet clear when the series will begin streaming, but it will likely arrive after CBS All Access undergoes its name change next year. As part of the streamer's efforts to rebrand itself under a more familiar name, CBS All Access will be known as Paramount Plus starting in early 2021. This news comes to us from Deadline.
