The CW Network is prepping for its Arrow spin-off The Flash, starring Grant Gustin as Barry Allen. Today, we have word that the network plans on bringing in the DC Comics character Cisco Ramon, a.k.a. Vibe in the pilot episode.

It isn't known who will play the Hispanic superhero yet. In the DC comic books, Cisco Ramon was exposed to interdimensional forces that rewrote his DNA, giving him the power to release powerful shockwaves, eventually becoming a member of the Justice League of America. It is said that Vibe will fight crime in Central City alongside Barry Allen in the pilot, and if the character is popular, he may become a regular, should the series be picked up by The CW Network.

David Nutter is directing the pilot episode, from a script by Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Geoff Johns. Production begins on the pilot episode this coming March in Vancouver.

Barry Allen debuted on two episodes of Arrow, "The Scientist" and "Three Ghosts", which aired earlier this month on The CW Network.
