The first full-length trailer for The Baby-Sitters Club is here. Netflix is bringing the beloved series of books by author Ann M. Martin to the small screen with a new live-action series that is set to debut this summer. The streaming service previously released a brief teaser but now they have provided a more thorough look at what is coming down the pipeline, which should provide a little boost of nostalgia for quite a few viewers.

The trailer opens up with a group of young girls starting a babysitting business, excitedly handing out flyers and eagerly awaiting their first call. They even opted to get some retro tech from Etsy in the form of an old-school phone to give it an authentic feel. We then get a glimpse at the life each of these girls leads outside of their newfound business venture. They are all quite different independently but form a tight-knit group. It looks to be a heartwarming view of growing up that has much more to do with friendship than it does with babysitting.

Rachel Shukert serves as showrunner on the series. Shukert and Netflix previously had success together collaborating on the wrestling show Glow. Shukert also wrote several episodes of The CW's Supergirl. Lucia Aniello (Broad City, Rough Night)) is on board as an executive producer and director. Michael De Luca, Lucy Kitada, Frank Smith and Naia Cucukov also serve as executive producers. Ann M. Martin additionally acts as a producer on the show, which could help bring an authentic feel to the adaptation. Netflix says the series "continues to champion friendship, female empowerment and entrepreneurship."

The Baby-Sitters Club is based on the best-selling book series. The Netflix series centers on the friendship and adventures of Kristy Thomas (Sophie Grace), Mary-Anne Spier (Malia Baker), Claudia Kishi (Momona Tamada), Stacey McGill (Shay Rudolph) and Dawn Schafer (Xochitl Gomez) as the middle-schoolers start their babysitting business in the town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut. The cast also includes Alicia Silverstone (Batman & Robin, Clueless) as Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the selfless single-mother of Kristy Thomas. She is also the love interest of good guy Watson Brewer, played by Mark Feuerstein (What Women Want, Prison Break)

First published in 1986, The Baby-Sitters Club is a series of young adult novels that has sold more than 176 million copies worldwide. Ann M. Martin wrote the first 36 installments, with ghostwriters taking over after that. Between 1986 and 2000, 131 novels in the main series were published, with 213 books released in total. A movie based on the books was released in 1995. It was directed by Melanie Mayron and stars Schuyler Fisk, Rachael Leigh Cook, Bre Blair, Larisa Oleynik and Stacy Linn Ramsower. The Baby-Sitters Club season 1 will consist of ten episodes and is set to debut July 3 via the Netflix streaming service. Be sure to check out the new trailer for yourself.
