After battling all sorts of evil creatures throughout the first 11 seasons, The Winchester Brothers will be battling none other than Adolf Hitler himself in Supernatural Season 12. Today we have word that The CW series is bringing back Adam Rose to reprise his guest-starring role from Season 8 as Adam Bass, to help the brothers in their war against the Nazi leader. This episode will also bring back both the Thule Society and the Judah Initiative.

TV Line has the news on Adam Rose's return, which comes after he made his Supernatural debut in the Season 8 episode Everybody Hates Hitler. Adam was the grandson of a longtime member of the Judah Initiative, a secretive group of rabbi's who fight to stop the Thule Society, a group of necromancers that sponsored the Nazi Party during their rise to power in World War II. In that episode, he vowed to continue the Judah Initiative's work, and in this upcoming episode, he'll assist the Winchester Brothers once again. Here's what executive producer and showrunner Andrew Dabb had to say about this story line in an interview with TV Line.

"We've got something really cool coming up in Episode 5, where it will be the triumphant or not so triumphant return of the Thule, who have decided to enact their master plan and bring back Hitler. And the way we describe our Hitler is 'a psychotic Richard Simmons,' so a little different than the standard portrayal. Sam and Dean are going to fight Hitler, and that's opening up some interesting doors for us in terms of just doing some more crazy stuff."

The show's producers confirmed at Comic-Con in July that musician/actor Rick Springfield has come aboard to play Lucifer. Executive producer Robert Singer teased that Lucifer will be trying out "different vessels" this season, and the first one he feels comfortable in is a washed up rock star named Vince Vicente, played by Rick Springfield. The actor will appear in the first few episodes of Season 12.

In related news, Supernatural also won Entertainment Weekly's Fall TV cover contest, which features both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles on the hood of the Winchester Bros.' iconic Chevy Impala, Baby. We also have a behind-the-scenes video from the EW cover photo shoot, where Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins (Castiel) and Mark Sheppard (Crowley) discuss winning this contest where more than 2.6 million votes were tallied, with Supernatural beating out 63 other new and returning shows for cover honors.
