With production under way on Stranger Things Season 2, Netflix has released the first cast photo, confirming the return of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and featuring two new cast members. We reported this summer that Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery have joined the cast, and we get our first look at these cast members in this photo that features all of the kids on the show, but doesn't feature returning adults such as Winona Ryder and David Harbour. This photo also serves as an homage to the mysterious Upside Down, since the picture and the caption are both literally upside down.

Netflix posted the photo on Twitter this morning, with the upside down caption that reads "back in production see you next year #strangerthings." The photo features Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Natalia Dyer (Nancy Wheeler), Joe Keery (Steve Harrington), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan Byers) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers), along with newcomers Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery. They will both play a pair of siblings who come to Hawkins, Indiana this season, which is set one year after the first season, in 1984.

Sadie Sink's Max is described as a skater girl. She is a tough and confident tomboy whose pursuits in life fall more in line with the boys of this 80s time period. She has a complicated history, and is said to be very suspicious of those who surround her in life. Dacre Montgomery is playing Billy, Max's older step-brother, who is said to be edgy and overly confident. He likes to steal girlfriends away from their longtime boyfriends, and he loves drinking games, driving his black Camaro and he is described as having a "violent and unpredictable nature." We reported a few months ago that another new character named Roman will be joining the show, a "gender-neutral" character who is seeking revenge after suffering a great loss early on in his life.

Both Joe Keery (Steve Harrington) and Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) have been promoted to series regulars after serving as featured players during the first season of Stranger Things. Netflix confirmed that Stranger Things Season 2 will span nine episodes, one more than the eight-episode first season, with the Season 2 premiere airing sometime in 2017. The Duffer Brothers also confirmed that the second season will be set in the year 1984, one year after the events of the first season. The episode titles for this season are MadMax The Boy Who Came Back To Life, The Pumpkin Patch, The Palace, The Storm, The Pollywog, The Secret Cabin, The Brain and The Lost Brother.

If the first cast photo wasn't enough for you, then you're in luck, because an enterprising YouTuber has turned this hit show into a musical. With the help of some catchy music and some clever editing, YouTube user melodysheep has created a musical version of this hit Netflix series. Unfortunately, this video doesn't feature one of the show's breakout characters, Barb, played by Shannon Purser. She will most likely not return, after she was killed by the Demogorgon and taken to the mysterious Upside Down. Take a look at the new cast photo and video as production begins on Stranger Things Season 2.
