After a year of very impatient waiting, Stranger Things season 2 is just around the corner. Netflix is dropping the highly-anticipated second season this weekend, just in time for Halloween, and fans are feeling anxious. Netflix is aware of just how excited fans are for the new season and, that being the case, they've decided to include a fun Stranger Things Easter egg on their app that turns Netflix into the Upside Down.

This Stranger Things Easter egg was spotted by fans on Reddit and it's something that you can check out for yourself, if you so choose. First head on over to the Netflix website, then do a search for Stranger Things. When the show comes up, click the down arrow, which can be seen under the Stranger Things icon. This brings you to the show's details page. Once on the page, you'll see a glowing red light emanating from the side of the screen on the right. It's pretty tough to miss if you know to look for it. Click the red light and bingo! You're transported to Netflix's version of the Upside Down.

As one might imagine, this turns Netflix, well, upside down. The Upside Down was the entire crux of Stranger Things season 1, so this is the perfect Easter egg for Netflix to throw on their website for obsessive fans. So, what happens if you try and use Netflix's version of the Upside Down? If you try and interact with the page further, you'll find it doesn't want to cooperate. Instead, scary sounds and images appear. And maybe, just maybe, there's a nice little jump scare waiting for you.

So far, the hype for Stranger Things season 2 looks to be worthwhile. The majority of early reviews for the show have been very positive, which means Netflix made it worth the wait. The new season brings in new stars Paul Reiser, Brett Gelman, Linnea Berthelsen, Dacre Montgomery, Will Chase, Rob Morgan, and Sadie Sink. The new season sees the return of Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton. So everyone you love from the first season is back, with some very promising new additions.

Netflix did their best to get new episodes of Stranger Things cranked out as quickly as possible without sacrificing quality. Let's hope they can do the same for season 3. The kids aren't going to stay young forever, after all. And they're all also becoming quite busy outside of the hit Netflix series. So there's only so many more seasons of the hit sci-fi series we can expect. Stranger Things season 2 arrives on October 27. So plan your binging schedules accordingly. While you impatiently wait for the new episodes to arrive, you can head on over to Netflix and check out their version of the Upside Down for yourself.
