BonusXP has released a new trailer for Stranger Things 3: The Game. Additionally, it has been announced that the game will be available on July 4th, which is the same date the show premieres exclusively on Netflix. The trailer shows off quite a bit of the game while taking its cues from the show's first trailer in awesome 16-bit detail. There are 12 playable characters in the upcoming game, each with their own set of skills and powers.

Stranger Things 3: The Game will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. There will also be PC, Mac, and mobile versions offered too. The game promises to take fans of the hit series and experience it in a new way, exploring the eerie world of Hawkins to uncover new mysteries beyond what's seen in Season 3. It will also have different skill levels to ensure fans of all ages will be able to get in on the immersive fun.

The video game is being described as "nostalgic fun with a fresh new twist." Players will be able to experience their favorite show through a mix of exploration, puzzles, and combat. The game is co-op, so players will be able to figure out different character combinations to figure out which team works best together. There is also a single player version, which pits the player with an AI character, so everybody gets the chance to stay indoors this summer to binge watch the show and play the new game.

The true selling point of the game is that it boasts "never-before-seen Stranger Things secrets." The immersive gaming experience may look dated, but it's offering something new to fans as a unique way to experience Season 3. BonusXP has taken their original Stranger Things game and given it a huge overhaul, including the perspective. However, the mobile editions of the game will be a bit different and streamlined for a more comfortable experience. Whatever the case may be, fans are sure to want to get in on this retro-style game featuring all of their favorite characters from the hit Netflix series.

Stranger Things 3: The Game is going to let the world of Hawkins into your home, which may be a good or a bad thing, depending on the situation. As of how long it will take gamers to get through the entire thing, that is unclear at the moment. However, there will be plenty of material to cover all of Season 3 while teasing those other mysteries about the show which have been hinted about. It's gearing up to be an excellent summer for Stranger Things fans who have been waiting for over a year to see what everybody is up to. While we wait for Season 3 and the game to debut, you can check out the trailer below, thanks to the NX on Netflix Twitter account.
