Just last week, a new poster for Star Wars Rebels Season 4 was released and now the synopses for the first 6 episodes has been revealed, which will show the Ghost crew's final battles up against Grand Admiral Thrawn and his forces. The wildly popular animated series will have Season 4 take place during the time period between Revenge of the Sith and Rogue One/A New Hope. Season 4 will be the final season of the popular series, so it will also resolve a few loose plot threads that fans have wondered about through the previous three seasons.

At the end of Season 3, our heroes escaped the evil clutches of Thrawn after the destruction of their base on Atollon and the death of Commander Sato. Season 4 will reportedly dig in deeper about the mysterious connection between Ezra, Kanan and the wolves and the Mandalorian Civil War. Jedi Insider reports that Star Wars Rebels Season 4 will bridge both Rebels and The Clone Wars as it leads into the events of Rogue One. The series has never backed away from tying in with the other Star Wars properties. The season will begin with the fight against the Empire at Mandalore and the arrival of Saw Gerrera, who is voiced by Forest Whitaker.
