Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter teased in April that rock star Marilyn Manson has been cast in Season 7 of the hit drama series. Today, FX confirmed the casting with a brief press release, which offers the first details about his character, Ron Tully.

Marilyn Manson has been cast in FX's hit show Sons of Anarchy as "Ron Tully," a white supremacist prison shot-caller who Jax uses to expand his power base.

Marilyn Manson is known, by most, for selling millions of records, being a successful writer, painter, performer and provocateur. He has also made many cameos in films and television.

With the creation of a new album and while launching a world tour, he grabbed the attention of SOA creator, Kurt Sutter.

Here's what Marilyn Manson had to say in a statement about how important Sons of Anarchy is in his life.

"Sons has been such a big part of my life, as well as my father's. So I was determined to make him proud by being involved in what will probably be remembered as the most amazing piece of television cinema. After all, the very heart of SOA is about that relationship. So, now all I need is a motorcycle."

Kurt Sutter also revealed in a February episode of his WTF Sutter podcast that he wants Marilyn Manson to provide some music for Season 7, which has been confirmed as the hit show's final season.
