Earlier this month, The Simpsons showrunner Al Jean dropped a bombshell, revealing that Homer and Marge Simpson will be getting 'legally separated' in the Season 27 premiere "Every Man's Dream", airing Sunday, September 27 on Fox. He went on to say that Homer ends up falling for his pharmacist, voiced by Lena Dunham. Many fans were left wondering if this separation is going to be permanent and result in divorce. To help clear the air, Fox has released a new video where Homer and Marge confirm that they will not be getting a divorce, as they sit underneath a "Together Forever" banner.

Many fans assumed that The Simpsons soul mates would get back together by the end of the season premiere. But because these divorce rumors persisted, this video was released. Al Jean had more to say on his Twitter account. His original interview was correctly quoted, but it was also misinterpreted. This video tease also features a few cameos from Bart, Lisa and Maggie, who offer some playful jabs at the media for running wild with the story.

Al Jean also revealed in his initial interview that this year's Treehouse of Horror episode will feature Sideshow Bob (Kelsey Grammer) finally getting to kill Bart Simpson. But don't worry, Bart will be back in the next episode, since the Treehouse episodes are one-offs. There will also be an episode inspired by Boyhood, and another episode where we get to see the home planet of Kang and Kodos. While we wait for the series premiere, check out the new video from Homer and Marge Simpson.
