Last month, HBO revealed the first Silicon Valley Season 4 trailer, which started off with quite the bombshell revelation, as Richard (Thomas Middleditch) told the rest of his Pied Piper team that he was quitting the company, and taking the name with him to start a new venture. While there wasn't much revealed in that footage, it was quite clear that Zach Woods' Jared Dunn was joining him, in whatever this new venture may be. Today, HBO released a full trailer for this highly-anticipated season, gives us an extended look at the scene where Richard walked away from his own company, along with a new comic-style poster, designed by Daniel Clowes.

The trailer debuted on HBO's YouTube channel, which begins with Richard entering the house through the back entrance, finding Bachman (T.J. Miller), Big Head (Josh Brener), Gilfoyle (Martin Starr) and Dinesh (Kumail Nanjiani) waiting for him, although they expected him to come in through the front entrance. Before Bachman can drop the hammer on Richard, he tells the group he's quitting, which is followed by another scene that isn't shown in the first trailer, with Jared running in through the front door to warn Richard that the rest of the Pied Piper group want to "ambush" him and replace him. While Jared makes it clear that he had nothing to do with this ambush, the point is now moot since Richard has quit.

This trailer also gives us our first look at Haley Joel OSment, who will appear in multiple episodes this season, according to a new report from Entertainment Weekly. The trailer footage shows Haley Joel Osment's unnamed character telling Richard that he has "the best technology that I've ever seen," adding that they can "change the world." EW reports that the actor is playing an "in-demand tech wiz," although he may not be partnering up with Richard. This report claims that this new unnamed character "responds to the unconventional M.O." of Erlich Bachman.

The trailer also shows footage of Richard and Jared entering a convention, with the Pied Piper team behind them, along with another scene where Monica (Amanda Crew) and Laurie (Suzanne Cryer) are treated to a "mansplained" definition of the term "mansplaining," along with a quite surprising scene where Richard shows up on the doorstep of Gavin Belson (Matt Ross), who was about to acquire Pied Piper in the Season 3 finale, before Erlich and Big Head put in a last-minute bid to save the company from Belson's clutches, which makes Richard's sudden move to quit the company he created that much more confusing.

It is believed that Pied Piper will now be moving forward as a video chat company, after starting as a file compression company, but it remains to be seen what Richard's new company will be, and if it will be a competitor to the new video chat company, or become something else entirely. We don't learn much from this conversation, with Belson simply telling Richard that he's a "bad guy," along with another scene where Jared is seen interviewing a young woman for some sort of position at their new company, revealing that their only product is "large-scale fraud." There are also some interesting bits of footage with Richard wearing what look like a mock-up of VR glasses, and footage from a presentation with Jack Barker (Stephen Tobolowsky) and Haley Joel Osment's character. Take a look at the new trailer, along with the illustrated poster featuring all of the main Silicon Valley characters, as illustrated by revered artist Daniel Clowes.
