One of the best sitcoms of all-time, Seinfeld began airing on NBC 30 years ago next month. And to mark the anniversary, Superfly will be bringing us The Seinfeld Experience. The ticketed attraction will allow fans to explore moments and characters from the show like never before including interactive exhibits with costumes, memorabilia, set re-creations, and props as well as brand-new content. And if that wasn't enough, The Seinfeld Experience will also offer a retail store with limited-edition and exclusive merchandise.

Jerry Seinfeld himself commented on the attraction saying this.

"Because I am Seinfeld, for a long time, I was the only person to actually have the Seinfeld experience. Now, these crazy Superfly people are going to make it so lots of people can interact with our silly '90s TV show. All I can say is, in the general context of the world we live in, this now seems completely normal."

The "crazy Superfly people" Jerry Seinfeld mentions above are a live entertainment group known for creating Bonnaroo. Not only that, but Superfly was behind the Outside Lands musical festival and a comedy festival called Clusterfest, which Jerry Seinfeld performed at in 2017. Superfly co-founder Jonathan Mayers said of this new Seinfeld Experience.

"We're thrilled to bring The Seinfeld Experience to life in an innovative way, combining nostalgia with immersive entertainment, and getting fans closer than ever before to the show and its beloved characters. A show as iconic as Seinfeld should be celebrated with an experience that truly matches its legacy and enduring influence."

SVP of Global Themed Entertainment, Warner Bros. Consumer Products Peter van Roden added this.

"As our fans celebrate the 30th anniversary of Seinfeld, we are thrilled to partner with Superfly to introduce an authentic experience that pays tribute to the sitcom's most iconic scenes, catchphrases and characters."

This new attraction is not the first Seinfeld "experience." Hulu opened up various pop-up "experiences" in select U.S. cities, back in 2015 to mark the occasion of locking up streaming rights to the show. But that said, this new 2019 The Seinfeld Experience will be more "robust." The attraction will be hosted in New York's Gramercy neighborhood and will operate seven days a week. Tickets for the retail shop / immersive show promotion will go on sale in the coming months.

While it's kind of lame that this attraction will only be available in New York City, it makes more than a bit of sense considering the beloved sitcom was, you know, set in the Big Apple. I guess all of us Seinfeld fans who live elsewhere in the world will just have to hope one of Hulu's above-mentioned pop-up "experiences" comes to our town. That or just add this Seinfeld Experience to our list of things to do when we go on vacation. The Statue of Liberty, Times Square, and the Seinfeld Experience. Makes for a fun trip to New York if you ask me.

Seinfeld was created by Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld and costarred Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Elaine Benes, and Michael Richards as Cosmo Kramer. This story comes to us via Deadline.
