Scooby and the gang will meet an animated version of beloved actor and narrator Morgan Freeman in one of the greatest cartoon crossovers we've seen yet. Appearing in an episode of the new series Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?, Freeman can be seen meeting the members of Mystery Inc. in a video clip from his episode at "Jeepers, it's award-winning actor, producer, and narrator Morgan Freeman!" the group exclaims in excitement when they stumble upon Freeman while chasing a spooky ghost.

When Morgan Freeman tells the mystery solvers that he was filming a documentary about a prison that's supposedly haunted, Daphne tells the actor how they were also heading to the prison to investigate reports of paranormal activity. Though he now has ghosts to worry about, Freeman also seems perplexed by what he sees in Mystery Inc.

"So, let me get this straight. You're four kooky teenagers and a talking dog that solve mysteries, and you drive around in a colorful van actively searching for these mysteries?" Freeman questions, proceeding to ask if they would want to be a part of his documentary.

Per the official plot synopsis, "Scooby-Doo and the gang are investigating mysterious ghost sightings at an old haunted prison that's been abandoned and derelict for over a hundred years. The Cheever State Penitentiary outside Cleveland, Ohio, has been closed since the 1930s, but it's said to be one of the most haunted places on earth. On the trail of a scary ghost, our gang accidentally bumps into none other than Morgan Freeman who's here making a documentary about the place. When the ghost attacks, our gang and Mr. Freeman team up to solve this mystery."

Of course, an appearance from Morgan wouldn't be complete without him narrating something. With his cameraperson filming Mystery Inc. as they discover the real story of what's happening at the prison, Freeman will be providing narration on how they're doing every step of the way. We can certainly expect there to be some kind of twist uncovered at the heart of the mystery, and it will be amusing to hear how Freeman reacts in his distinct narrator voice.

Morgan Freeman in Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?

The main voice cast of Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? is franchise veteran Frank Welker as Fred Jones and Scooby-Doo, Grey Griffin as Daphne Blake, Kate Micucci as Velma Dinkley, and Matthew Lillard as Shaggy Rogers.
