Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot fixed its Screech problem in a clever way. Dustin Diamond was not included in the reboot series and fans were wondering if his absence was going to be brought up. Diamond was not happy about the decision to go on without him, though there is a chance he could return if season 2 ends up becoming a reality. So far, reactions have been mixed for Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot. There are SPOILERS for the reboot series below, so read ahead at your own risk.

The Peacock reboot finds Bayside's most famous students all grown up with families of their own. Zack is still shady and married to Kelly, Slater is a gym coach, and Jessie is a counselor. While Lisa Turtle actress Lark Voorhies was not originally included in the reboot, she does have a small part, which reveals that Lisa is a successful fashion designer living in Paris. While everybody would assume that the fictional reunion was full of laughs, it was the exact opposite.

The Bayside crew are constantly bickering and making fun of each other, which comes to a head during the Saved by the Bell reboot's episode 8. As they continue to argue, Slater states: "Screech is so lucky he and [his robot] Kevin get to live on the international space station, so he doesn't have to deal with any of this." When looking back at the original series, it seems very fitting that Screech is hanging out on a space station with a robot that he created. It was a clever nod to the past and fans will surely like that Dustin Diamond was talked about.

Lark Voorhies recently addressed the Dustin Diamond issue with the reboot. "He wants to be paid and respected, we would for him to come back on set," she explained. "He's going through his growing pains... he can get back on track. He's going through his adult issues and all of this but I am sure he'll be back -- granted the perfect contract for him I'm sure he would be back." Diamond has been through his fair share of controversy over the years, but it sounds like he could make a return for season 2, if it ends up happening.

Elizabeth Berkley also recently spoke about Dustin Diamond's absence and also teased that he could make a return. "I don't know if he will make an appearance, we'll see," Berkley said. "If there's another season, maybe it's something to explore." She went on to add, "I haven't talked to him in a long time... since we finished the show." Diamond has been through a lot over the years and just a few weeks ago it was falsely reported that he was dead. You can head over to the official Peacock website to stream Saved by the Bell.
