Lark Voorhies is reprising her role as Lisa Turtle in Peacock's upcoming Saved by the Bell reboot series. Now, fans of the hit 90s series are wondering if Dustin Diamond has been contacted about bringing Screech back. It was reported earlier this month that Diamond died in a prison riot, but that was proven to be a hoax, which is something the actor has had to put up with for most of his life in the spotlight.

Lark Voorhies is rejoining her Saved by the Bell colleagues Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack), Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly), Mario Lopez (Slater), and Elizabeth Berkley Lauren (Jessie) for the new reboot series. The actress was originally left out of the new show, which she did not appreciate. Earlier this year, Voorhies said, "I have to admit I did feel a bit slighted and hurt when I was not invited to be part of the Saved by the Bell reunion as well as other cast members events." She continued, "Yet of course, I also realized that having this puzzling disorder may have played a major part in that factual decision. With that in mind, I am truly thankful for having had the chance to work on a show that has been so successful."

It's unclear when Lark Voorhies was invited to return as Lisa Turtle in Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot. It's also unclear how many episodes Voorhies will be in. But, the network says, "when the show picks up with Lisa, she is thriving with a successful career in fashion." Knowing that Lisa Turtle ended up in the world of fashion should come as no surprise for fans of the original series.

In 2012, it was reported that Lark Voorhies was battling bipolar disorder. The news was revealed after she gave an interview where she started mumbling and staring off into space, though she denied that she was going through anything. Voorhies' mother was the one to reveal the news and Voorhies seems okay with her situation at the present time. She has yet to address her return to Bayside, but a first-look image has been released and Lisa Turtle doesn't look like she ever left high school.

Dustin Diamond will more than likely not reunite with his Saved by the Bell co-stars. Diamond has slandered his former castmates in interviews and a tell-all book, which he later confirmed to be made of false stories. The actor has apologized, but he has not been invited to any of the cast reunions or to take part in the reboot series. The Lark Voorhies news comes just after the first image of Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Zack) and Tiffani Thiessen (Kelly) was released, giving old school fans something to get excited about. The return of Lisa Turtle in Peacock's Saved by the Bell reboot was first reported by Entertainment Weekly.
