NBC has released the official blooper reel for Saturday Night Live season 43. The long-running sketch comedy series is taking a break for the summer, but last season was quite memorable and was a showcase for a diverse cast of hosts who brought with them some excellent sketches. While there were a lot of funny, intentional moments that made it to air this season, this blooper reel reveals that there were quite a few unintentional moments that were equally hilarious.

This video offers a four-minute look behind the scenes of what went into making the show's 43rd season a success. Audiences at home see the finished product of a live broadcast, but there is a lot of rehearsal time that goes into making those sketches ready to air and, as for the stuff that's pre-taped, there are plenty of bloopers to go around. Everything from cast members messing up lines and cursing out to car alarms going off in the background while they're trying to nail down a scene.

In addition to the bloopers, we also see some cast members such as Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon just improving lines, that were pretty great, even though they just didn't make the final cut. Kenan Thompson, now the longest tenured cast member in the show's history who recently scored an Emmy nomination for his work during Saturday Night Live season 43, was actually one of the most featured cast members in the blooper reel. Much of it has to do with everyone making one another laugh, which is really the point of SNL, right?

The video features outtakes from guests throughout last season, including Will Ferrell, Gal Gadot, Ryan Gosling, Jessica Chastain, Charles Barkley, Kevin Hart, Donald Glover, Bill Hader, Tiffany Haddish and Saoirse Ronan. Barkley very well may take the cake here as he flubbed a bunch of his lines, leading to a slew of very angry F-bombs from the former NBA star. We also get a few looks at the excellent Star Wars sketch that, for whatever unknown ridiculous reason, was cut for time during his episode and didn't actually make it to air. Why, of all things, they decided to cut that particular sketch remains a mystery, but at least it was released online. Plus, we get to see Barkley struggling a bit with the material here.

Donald Glover, who is having a very big year and was also nominated for an Emmy for his work hosting SNL, is included in the outtakes while filming the A Quiet Place spoof, A Kanye Place. Saoirse Ronan, Cecily Strong, Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant and Leslie Jones close out the video laughing while recording their memorable Welcome to Hell sketch. Saturday Night Live will return for a 44th season this fall on NBC, though, the network has yet to announce an exact premiere date.
