Following in the footstep of planking, the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge and more, the latest internet viral sensation is known as the Mannequin Challenge. Videos have started sprouting up online where people are captured as if they were frozen in time, with some comparing these videos to the popular Quicksilver scenes in the superhero movies X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse. Today the latest Mannequin Challenge video has surfaced featuring the cast of Saturday Night Live and this week's host Kristen Wiig, which even brings back the skeletons from the show's now-infamous David S. Pumpkins Halloween sketch.

The video debuted on the show's YouTube channel earlier today, which features stars Aidy Bryant, Beck Bennett, Kyle Mooney, Cecily Strong and Sasheer Zamata, before we get a brief glimpse at the skeletons (Bobby Moynihan and Mikey Day) that accompanied David S. Pumpkins (Tom Hanks) in an instant-classic Halloween sketch from last month. Unfortunately, we don't get to see David S. Pumpkins himself, but the character become so popular after the sketch that his Halloween costumes were selling out around the country.

Like most of these Mannequin Challenge videos, this 60-second promo is set to the song "Black Beatles" by Rae Sremmurd. We also get a glimpse at Weekend Update hosts Michael Che and Colin Jost, Pete Davidson, Vanessa Bayer, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones before seeing Kristen Wiig with the whole cast. It hasn't been confirmed whether or not David S. Pumpkins' skeletons could hint that they will return this week.

The Mannequin Challenge is believed to have started with social media posts from students of Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, Florida on October 12, while others claim that the inspiration for this movement started with the South Korean TV series W: Two Worlds starring Lee Jong Suk. Regardless of its origins, the Mannequin Challenge has become a viral sensation, with Hillary Clinton and her staff even getting in on the action before the election. First Lady Michelle Obaba even posed for a Mannequin Challenge video while the NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers visited the White House.

This weekend's episode of SNL marks the second time Kristen Wiig has hosted the show, following her hosting debut in 2013. She previously starred on Saturday Night Live from 2005 to 2012, moving on to star in films like this summer's Ghostbusters, with two of SNL's current stars, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. Take a look at this new video with Kristen Wiig and the SNL cast doing the Mannequin Challenge.
