Robin Williams is set to take on his first feature role in a televised sitcom since making a name for himself on the ABC hit Mork & Mindy. He will play father to Sarah Michelle Gellar on the CBS workplace comedy Crazy Ones.

The series will be a single-camera take on the world of advertising, and will revolve around the dynamic relationship between Sydney Roberts and her dad Simon, who have decided to work together.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's Sydney is described as "pretty, intense, driven, organized and burdened with being practical." She is the creative director at Roberts and Roberts Advertising Agency, and maintains as the heart and soul of the operation while her father runs loose and the parenting roles are reversed.

Television luminary David E. Kelley (L.A. Law, Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, the upcoming Monday Mornings on TNT) is writing the pilot script. Modern Family vet Jason Winer will direct.

Sarah Michelle Gellar returned to series television in 2011 with Ringer, which was praised as the second coming of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but it failed to catch on with audiences. The actress had previously shot a comedy pilot for HBO in 2009, but that didn't go anywhere. If Crazy Ones gets picked up to series, it will be the actress' first sitcom. Sarah Michelle Gellar started out as a soap opera actress on All My Children.
