Earlier this week, Sacha Baron Cohen teased a new mysterious project that included a video of President Donald Trump berating the star and then closed with the Trump University logo, implying that Cohen was going back to school. Now, new details have emerged and it looks like he's doing another show in the style of Da Ali G Show. Additionally, the new Sacha Baron Cohen Series, which is said to have one or two episodes already finished, will supposedly premiere July 15th on Showtime. The new teasers for the show do not include Sacha Baron Cohen or even his name, instead they just promise that something huge is coming.

The new videos that were released by Showtime are even more cryptic than the Donald Trump 4th of July teaser. However, July 15th is a short time to have to wait and see what Sacha Baron Cohen's next move is. It's not clear if this will be the same characters as Da Ali G Show, or if Cohen has ditched that aspect. Variety reports that the new Showtime series will be in the same vein as what Cohen did on Channel 4 and HBO in the early 2000s.

There have been rumors that Sacha Baron Cohen was up to something similar to Da Ali G Show for the last few months. Back in February of this year, it was reported that Cohen had interviewed OJ Simpson in his Las Vegas hotel room. Again, it's not clear if Cohen was in character or not. Additionally, we know that the show will involve Donald Trump in some capacity along with his infamous Trump University.

The first season of Sacha Baron Cohen's Da Ali G Show premiered in 2000 and was only in England. The second and third seasons aired on HBO in 2003 and 2004, respectively. The show introduced viewers to three distinct characters who were out to interview people including the streetwise buffoon Ali G, the gay Austrian fashion enthusiast Bruno Gehard, and Kazakh reporter Borat Sagdiyev. All three characters received their own movies, with 2006's Borat gaining the most success at the box office. When asked about returning to Da Ali G Show over the years, Cohen maintained that it would be too difficult to pull off now because more people are in on the joke.

It's entirely possible that Sacha Baron Cohen created new characters for this Showtime series, or he could be taking a completely new approach. While not much about the new series has been revealed, the new show is said to be the most outrageous project currently on Showtime, according to the two new teaser videos. With that being said, it's the perfect time to see Sacha Baron Cohen's distinct and mysterious comedy make its way back into the public consciousness. While we wait for some more details, you can check out the new teaser videos below, provided by the Showtime YouTube channel.
