Showtime has released the first trailer and poster for season five of its hit drama series Ray Donovan, which will premiere on Sunday, August 6 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Starring Liev Schreiber in his two-time Emmy nominated role as L.A.'s best professional fixer, the new season of Ray Donovan finds Ray turning his attention back to Hollywood and his celebrity fixer firm. Also beginning on August 6, the limited event series Twin Peaks will move to its new timeslot on Sunday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT. If you haven't caught up with the first four seasons of Ray Donovan, there will be SPOILERS below, so read on at your own risk.

On the new season of Ray Donovan, Mickey (Oscar winner Jon Voight) is overjoyed to at last be welcomed into Ray's home and swears to finally mend his criminal ways. Joining the series in a season-long arc is Oscar winner and four-time Emmy-nominated actress Susan Sarandon as legendary media mogul Samantha Winslow, who sets Ray against her own fixers in fear they may know too much. Ray Donovan also stars Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey and Devon Bagby. After an intense Season 3 where Ray squared off against the Armenian mob, Ray Donovan Season 4 followed the title character seeking salvation, but this season, but this season, he's focusing on work once again.

At the end of the fourth season, Ray finally was able to work together with his father Mickey, as the whole family was able to take down Dimitri and the Russians. It seems the family is at odds once again, with a mysterious incident that left both Mickey and Ray's brother Bunchy (Dash Mihok) in the hospital, which Ray won't answer any questions about. The new trailer introduces fans to Samantha Winslow, the head of a movie studio whose biggest problem at the moment involves a high-profile actress named Natalie James (Lili Simmons), who we learn has walked off the set of a $3 billion franchise.

The trailer also includes a scene where Terry (Eddie Marsan) is threatened by a cop, who ran a background check on him, which could threaten his relationship with his wife. There is also an intriguing shot of Ray attacking his father with a bottle, while Bunchy tries to break it up. There are also scene where Natalie James is almost run over by Ray, while running through the Hollywood Hills in her underwear. Unfortunately, we don't get many more details about why Natalie is running around by herself, but we'll surely find out more when the Ray Donovan season premiere debuts August 6.

Additional Ray Donovan guest stars include Brian White (Chicago Fire), Adina Porter (American Horror Story), Rhys Coiro (Entourage), Lili Simmons (Hawaii Five-0), Tara Buck (True Blood), C. Thomas Howell (Criminal Minds) and Dominique Columbus (Sickhouse). A Showtime production, RAY DONOVAN is executive produced by David Hollander, Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and Lou Fusaro, and was created by Ann Biderman. Showtime renewed Ray Donovan for Season 6 just a few weeks into the fifth season, so we'll have to wait and see if history will repeat itself once again. Until then, take a look at the new trailer and poster for Ray Donovan Season 6.
