Parks and Recreation has added a new nemesis for Amy Poehler's Leslie Knoppe, bringing on comedian Jon Glaser for a recurring role in Season 5.

The actor will play one of the two Pawnee City Council members we haven't been introduced to yet, who just doesn't like Leslie at all. Here's what executive producer/showrunner Michael Schur had to say about the new character.

"He doesn't find her interesting or charming at all, and doesn't care about her bright-eyed, bushy-tailed attitude toward making the town better. He just doesn't like her."

The character will debut in the third episode of Season 5, along with another, much older enemy who was compared to longtime Congressman Strom Thurmond. It isn't exactly known how many episodes he will appear in. Michael Schur did add that we will see him pop in and out throughout the season.

"They're going to be around a lot. Certainly not in every episode, but... they'll float in and out as we need them."

Parks and Recreation returns with the Season 5 Premiere Thursday, September 20 at 9:30 PM ET on NBC.
