Orange Is the New Black season 7 will premiere July 26th. The hit Netflix series is returning for one more season and to celebrate, the ladies of Litchfield took turns trading lines from Regina Spektor's "You've Got Time" theme song to announce the premiere date in a new video. In addition, the streaming platform has released some first-look images to get fans hyped for the upcoming seventh and final season.

Orange Is The New Black ushered in a monumental era of television, and for six unforgettable seasons has fearlessly tackled some of the most difficult, relevant, and human stories of our time. In its final season, the ladies of Litchfield come to terms with the fact that prison has changed them forever. Things are going to continue as Piper struggles with life on the outside, while life in Max, as corrupt and unjust as ever, goes on without her. Taystee's friendship with Cindy still hangs in the balance as her life sentence looms, Gloria and her kitchen staff are confronted by the hard truth of Polycon's newest profit stream, while others chase drugs or dreams and grapple with the reality of their place in this world.

Netflix first announced that Orange is the New Black season 7 would be the last back in October 2018. Soon after the announcements, there were whispers of a possible sequel series on the streaming platform, but nothing has been brought up since. They might be waiting to see how the response is to the final season before announcing any sequels or spin-offs set in that storyline. Regardless, there are a lot of fans who would more than likely be pretty happy with a new series to look forward to.

Orange is the New Black stars Laura Prepon, Taylor Schilling, Kate Mulgrew, Danielle Brooks, Uzo Aduba, Adrienne C. Moore, and Dascha Polanco all appear in the teaser video, singing the catchy theme song. The video is definitely a lot more cheery than the first-look images provide. It looks like things are going to get pretty dark to finish out the hit series. There will undoubtedly be some dark humor, but we could be seeing something with a pretty dark overall tone when all is said and done.

Orange Is the New Black first debuted on Netflix back in July 2012. Since then, it has earned 19 Emmy nominations and landed four wins, two of which were for supporting actress Uzo Aduba. It's going to be sad to see the show come to an end, but there could very well be more ahead. We'll just have to wait and see how the seventh and final season does when it is released later this summer. While we wait and see, you can check out the sing along video and first-look images below, thanks to the Netflix streaming YouTube channel.
