Oprah Winfrey has announced whether or not she'll run for President against Donald Trump in 2020, after her friends and loves ones fanned the flames saying it was something that she was strongly considering. Her name had been floated around for years, but it was her impassioned Golden Globes speech a few weeks ago that really got the rumor mill moving. Even Winfrey's husband, Stedman Graham, poured fuel on the fire in an after-show interview. So, will Oprah really do it?

Oprah Winfrey has declared that she will not run for president in 2020 against Donald Trump. In a new interview, the media mogul said that she has given it thought, but ultimately, it's not in her "D.N.A." She had this to say.

"I've always felt very secure and confident with myself in knowing what I could do and what I could not... I don't have the DNA for it. It's not something that interests me. I met with someone the other day who said that they would help me with a campaign. That's not for me."

Oprah's response isn't much of a shock, definitely not as much of a shock if she would have announced her candidacy. Now, Oprah can just go back to being plain ol' awesome Oprah.

Though it doesn't interest her, fans of Oprah were pretty excited at the chance of a Winfrey candidacy, with people who aren't even her fans also endorsing her in any effort to remove Trump from office. But there were critics. One of the most talked about criticisms was the idea of having another television star as president. Others did not want someone who was responsible for bringing Dr. Phil into the public consciousness. There were other criticisms as well, but they are not acceptable to print.

Known by millions on a first-name basis, Oprah originally shot to fame as a talk show host in the 1980s who turned her fame into a multimedia empire. She's huge in the world of acting, dominating the talk show circuit, book and magazine publishing, a Sirius/XM radio channel, and many more. Oprah Winfrey grew up in poverty and is now one of the world's wealthiest women and an inspiration to many people all over the world. Her rags to riches story is a far cry from what Donald Trump grew up with and many believe that she would have made a relatable candidate due to her history.

The Democratic party will have to find another candidate because Oprah Winfrey will not be running for president against Donald Trump in the 2020 election. Instead, Oprah will continue her extensive philanthropy, most of which she keeps away from the public eye, and will continue to inspire people from all over the world, including the Hollywood community, which needs some restructuring and rebuilding after recent events. Oprah first told In Style Magazine that she would not run for president and you can read the rest of the interview there.
