AMC's NOS4A2 is now less than a month away from premiering and the network has provided a new look at the terrifying show. The supernatural horror drama series is based on the 2013 novel of the same name by Joe Hill and is highly anticipated amongst horror fans. The show was first announced to be in development back in 2015, but it wasn't until 2017 that writers were announced for the series, including Jami O'Brien and Hill. The NOS4A2 source material was nominated for the 2013 Bram Stoker Award for Best Novel.

The latest clip from NOS4A2 is a bit of a teaser for things to come, which promises to be a "different kind of vampire story." The show consists of 10 episodes and it looks like main characters Vic McQueen (Ashleigh Cummings) and Charlie Manx (Zachary Quinto) are on a collision course in the brief look at the show. Things also look like they're going to get intense very quickly when the show premieres next month. However, fans will undoubtedly be comparing the show to Joe Hill's source material, which means it will have an uphill battle with those fans. Thankfully, there will be plenty of episodes to do it justice.

NOS4A2 introduces Vic McQueen, who is a gifted young woman with a supernatural ability to find lost things. She is not aware of her ability at first, but it ends up bringing the immortal and evil Charlie Manx into her orbit. Manx is a "supernatural villain who feeds off the souls of children then deposits what remains of them into Christmasland," which is a twisted place of Manx's imagination where "every day is Christmas Day and unhappiness is against the law." It's up to Vic to defeat Manx and rescue his victims before being completely sucked in. We can hear Vic threaten to burn Christmasland to the ground in the latest clip and she sounds very serious.

As for horror fans who may be on the fence about checking out NOS4A2, Stephen King, Joe Hill's dad, can vouch for it. The iconic author recently gave the new series two thumbs up while discussing it during an interview. It sounds as if the show is going to be even more terrifying than it already looks in the promotional material. King had this to say about it.

"I've seen some of the footage cut together and I'll tell ya what, they're not playing games with that. That's balls to the wall scary."

In addition to Zachary Quinto and Ashleigh Cummings, NOS4A2 also includes Olafur Darri Olafsson as Bing Partridge, Virginia Kull as Linda McQueen, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Chris McQueen and Jahkara Smith, aka Sailor J, as Maggie Leigh. Director Kari Skogland directed the first two episodes of the series, which debuts on June 2nd. While we wait for AMC to premiere NOS4A2, you can check out the latest key-art and the clip below, thanks to AMC.
