Netflix has released a brand new trailer and poster for Narcos Season 2. While the one-sheet promises a hunt for the world's most notorious drug dealer, the trailer may be more daunting, as it asks 'Who Killed Pablo Escobar?' All ten episodes of Narcos Season 2 will launch Friday September 2, exclusively on Netflix.

Narcos chronicles the gripping real-life stories of the infamous drug kingpins of the late 1980s and the corroborative efforts of law enforcement to meet them head on in brutal, bloody conflict. Its gritty storytelling details the many, often-conflicting forces - legal, political, police, military and civilian - that clash in the effort to control cocaine, one of the world's most valuable commodities.

Narcos is produced by Gaumont International Television for Netflix. Narcos Season 1 is available for members to stream instantly on Netflix in Ultra HD 4K. In these new episodes, notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar (Wagner Moura) is on the run, with the Colombian authorities in relentless pursuit, and determined to put an end to his illegal activities. Season 2 will show how his daring prison escape made headlines, and made him one of the most wanted men in the world.

The series stars Boyd Holbrook (Gone Girl) and Pedro Pascal as real-life DEA agents Steve Murphy and Javier Peña, Joanna Christie as Connie Murphy, Juan Murcia as Juan Pablo Escobar, Maurice Compte as Horacia Carrillo, Paulian Gaitan as Tata Escobar, Danielle Kennedy as Ambassador Noonan and Richard T. Jones as a DEA agent. No details have been given about any new characters joining the show for Season 2.The show underwent a few big changes in the offseason, with showrunner Adam Fierro parting ways with the series, and Eric Newman and Jose Padilha remaining on board as executive producers.

Eric Newman teased in May that Pablo Escobar will die this season, revealing that after the prison escape shown in the trailer, the drug kingpin only has 18 months to live before he was killed in 1992. It isn't known what the show has planned for Season 3 and beyond, but Eric Newman said in May that there are several different avenues the show could explore after Pablo's death. In addition to the new trailer, we also have the latest poster courtesy of Netflix.
