Mo'Nique threatened to slap Steve Harvey in the face during a live taping earlier this week. The comedian is out promoting her Las Vegas residency, but it seems that she may have made entirely new headlines while appearing on the Steve show. The Academy Award winning actress and comedian tells things how they are, and if you don't like it, too bad. Mo'Nique speaks her mind and has developed a reputation for being difficult to work with as a result. Many of her fans find her no-nonsense attitude to be refreshing.

According to sources who were at the taping, things started off well for Mo'Nique and Steve Harvey. When the discussion drifted off to the comedian's past comments on Whoopi Goldberg, things took a turn for the worse. Mo'Nique appeared on The View last year and Goldberg said that she should have "schooled" the comedian about properly promoting Precious and her contractual obligations. In a recent interview, Mo'Nique spoke her mind about the incident. She explains.

"When I look at this woman you say is our icon and our legend - she is. But, how many things has Whoopi Goldberg executive produced? Whoopi Goldberg has always been the help, and I say that humbly. So what is it that you're going to school me on? I've been doing it for almost 30 years."

Steve Harvey allegedly asked Mo'Nique about other famous feuds that she has had over the years, including with Tyler Perry, Oprah, and Lee Daniels, which she answered. However, when he brought up Whoopi Goldberg, the comedian became visibly angry. Harvey reportedly suggested that she should apologize to Goldberg, which is when things got ugly. One source had this to say.

"She threatened to hit Steve in the face. He told her (if) she hit him, her husband would have to come out and square off."

The whole incident was reportedly captured on camera, but it has not been confirmed as to whether or not it will make it on the Steve show. The taping ended after the heated exchange and if it does air, it will be within the next two weeks. As for Mo'Nique apologizing to Whoopi Goldberg, she discussed her thoughts in an interview the day before the Steve Harvey taping. She said, "People are now offended by the truth. And when people say Mo'Nique dropping shade, she spilling tea." She then went on to say that she's too old to be dealing with this kind of thing.

Mo'Nique added that she and Whoopi Goldberg are not in a bad place at all. She says that Goldberg is her "sister," but she has no interest in taking career advice if it involves "working for free." She concluded her thoughts on the subject by saying, "There's no beef, I simply said what it was." As for her relationship with Harvey, that may be a whole new beef.
