Last week, Malcolm in the Middle star Frankie Muniz revealed on his Twitter page that he wants to see a reunion series happen, which he would call Malcolm in the Mid-Life Crisis. The actor admitted he was just "ga(u)ging interest" in a reunion, but it seems that he isn't the only one who would like to bring the series back. While speaking to ET Canada (via Digital Spy), Bryan Cranston also said he would like to come back as the dysfunctional family patriarch, Hal. Here's what the actor had to say about a reunion.

"It's been 10 years since we went off the air and it'd be fun to pick up that guy's clothes again and be fun and sweet and adorable and hapless and clueless and afraid of everything."

As we mentioned last week, it doesn't seem that there are any official discussions about bringing this show back, but, if Bryan Cranston is interested in returning, it may be enough to get Fox or another network to develop a revival series. Fox has already brought back its beloved series 24 with the event series 24: Live Another Day last year. The network is also bringing The X-Files back to the small screen with an untitled series slated to debut in January.

Malcolm in the Middle ran for six seasons between 2000 and 2006, spanning 151 episodes. The sitcom centered on Frankie Muniz' title character, who tries to survive amidst his chaotic family, including his father Hal (Bryan Cranston), mother Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and brothers Francis (Christopher Masterson), Reese (Justin Berfield) and Dewey (Erik Per Sullivan). While Bryan Cranston did say he would be interested in coming back for a new Malcolm in the Middle series, he isn't quite interested in returning to the Breaking Bad world quite yet.

"I don't have a yearning to go back into (Breaking Bad's) world because we just covered it completely, I think."

Ironically, back in 2013, shortly after the Breaking Bad finale aired, an "alternate ending" surfaced where Bryan Cranston's Hal woke up from a vivid dream, describing his drug-dealing ways as Walter White to his TV wife Jane Kaczmarek, which connected Malcolm in the Middle to Breaking Bad in a humorous fashion. It isn't known if Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield and Erik Per Sullivan would be willing to reprise their roles for this potential revival. Both Justin Berfield and Erik Per Sullivan have stepped away from acting altogether since the show went off the air, so it isn't known if they would be interested in coming back.
