Luke Perry, star of Riverdale and Beverly Hills, 90210, has been hospitalized after suffering a stroke Wednesday morning. Paramedics responded to Perry's home in Sherman Oaks Wednesday morning and the fire department call mentions that the actor had a stroke. A representative for Perry confirmed that he was hospitalized and says that Perry is "under observation," but did not offer any other details. There are no further updates as of this writing. Since the news has started to spread, former 90210 co-stars Ian Ziering and Shannon Doherty posted pictures and words of support for Perry.

Shannon Doherty posted a picture of her and Luke Perry from back in the Beverly Hills, 90210 days with a caption that reads: "My friend. Holding you tight and giving you my strength. You got this." Ian Ziering also posted a picture of he and Perry from back in the day where Ziering is kissing the actor on the cheek. Ziering had this to say.

"No words can express what my heart feels hearing today's shocking news. Let us all say a prayer for his speedy recovery."

On the same day that Luke Perry was hospitalized, the former cast of Beverly Hills, 90210 announced a revival series, which is coming to Fox this summer. All of the original cast, including Jason Priestley, Jennie Garth, Ian Ziering, Gabrielle Carteris, Brian Austin Green, and Tori Spelling are coming back to play heightened versions of themselves. Shannon Doherty was famously fired from the original series and will not be returning. Perry is not involved in the revival either, but Spelling revealed that the actor was going to "do as many (episodes) as he can do." Perry currently stars on the CW's hit show Riverdale as Fred Andrews.

Luke Perry is best-known for his work on 90210, which didn't always make him too happy. When asked about the show in 2016, Perry compared the show to talking about third grade because of how long ago it was. However, the actor has since warmed up a bit to the show that launched his career. He has worked steadily in Hollywood ever since he stopped 90210, appearing in HBO's hit series Oz, The Fifth Element, and his role as Archie's Dad on Riverdale. Perry also has a role in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, which seems to have just about everybody in it.

In 2015, Luke Perry was treated for precancerous growths after a routine colonoscopy. Perry has since become a vocal advocate for colorectal cancer screenings. It isn't clear how exactly the actor is doing at the moment, but there are fans from all over the world wishing him a speedy recovery. Perry is a pretty private individual, but he is more than likely pretty happy with the outpouring of support that he is receiving from all over the world. TMZ was the first to report about Luke Perry's medical emergency.
