Louie creator Louis C.K. has signed an overall deal with FX Productions to create new TV shows. The pact is separate from his agreement for Louie, which returns with Season 4 this May.

Here's what FX Networks CEO John Landgraf had to say in a statement.

"Working with Louis C.K. has been one of the most rewarding and enjoyable experiences of my career. So many incredibly talented artists want to work with Louis and follow down the independent and idiosyncratic creative trail he has blazed. I can't wait to see who he brings through our door, not to mention any new projects that he wants to create for us."

The deal allows Louis C.K. to either create new shows himself, or supervise programs from other creators. He is also able to write and direct any episode of the new shows as he sees fit. Blair Breard will also serve as executive producer alongside Louis C.K..

FX already has similar deals in place with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creators Glenn Howerton, Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day, along with Archer creators Adam Reed and Matt Thompson.
